Question Time at Meadowhead School

Tuesday, March 24, 2015

Meg Munn MP recently visited Meadowhead School to take part in a question time session with students.

The Heeley MP was impressed with the interest shown in politics and the political process by a number of the students. One pupil even expressing her annoyance that adults do not talk to young people about politics at all, but young people are still criticised for not being interested.

During the visit the students asked Meg about her career, the biggest priorities for her constituents, Nigel Farage, whether 16 year olds should get the right to vote, and her plans when she steps down as an MP.

Meg said:

“Young people are sometimes criticised for not being interested in politics and other important issues, but this was definitely not the case at Meadowhead. The pupils I spoke to clearly showed that they do care about politics and want to get involved.”
